Delivered from Drugs Initiative

In August 2018, we launched our second initiative called D. F. D. I (DELIVERED FROM DRUGS INITIATIVE), a campaign geared towards drug abuse prevention among young people. To achieve the campaign objective, we partnered with the Gwandu Emirate, Ministry of Information, Education and Faith-based Organizations. In one year, we were able to directly reached 1507 young people (in schools, teens clubs, churches and neighborhoods) and distributed over 1445 drug abuse prevention booklets.

As part of efforts to bring necessary stakeholders together, a one-day symposium was organized for parents and teachers with a view of finding ways to engage youths as an alternative to drug abuse. We had 85 persons in attendance. We also had multiple appearances on You & Your Health Program broadcasted on Kebbi Radio.

Our efforts came to limelight in 2018 when our founder received the NYSC Award of Commendation For Development in the state given by the governing board of the NYSC.
